Courtyardmart 10-Year Limited Warranty

Courtyardmart stands behind the quality and durability of our fencing and gate products. Our products are designed for long-term outdoor use, with a focus on durability, low maintenance, and reliable performance.

This Courtyardmart 10-Year Limited Warranty applies to eligible Courtyardmart fencing and gate products purchased directly from Courtyardmart or through an authorized Courtyardmart seller.

This Warranty explains the applicable warranty periods, covered defects, exclusions, claim procedures, and available remedies.

1. Warranty Coverage

Subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of this Limited Warranty, Courtyardmart warrants that eligible products will be free from qualifying defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable Warranty Period.

Residential Applications

Eligible residential fence and gate products are covered for:

Commercial Applications

Eligible commercial fence and gate products are covered for:

5 Years

Commercial applications include, but are not limited to, multifamily properties, apartment communities, commercial properties, offices, retail properties, hospitality properties, institutional properties, and other non-residential applications.

Certain products, components, or accessories may be subject to separate warranty terms.

The warranty period applicable to the specific product purchased will control.

3. What This Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the applicable Warranty Period under normal and intended use.

Covered conditions may include:

Manufacturing Defects

Defects resulting from the manufacturing process that materially affect the product's intended function, performance, or structural integrity.

Material Defects

Qualifying defects in the materials used to manufacture the product.

Structural Defects

Qualifying structural defects that materially affect the product's intended performance under normal and intended use.

Product Performance

Other qualifying defects that are determined by Courtyardmart to result from a covered manufacturing or material defect.

Warranty coverage is subject to the product's intended use, applicable installation requirements, maintenance requirements, and the exclusions described in this Warranty.

4. Warranty Start Date

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the Warranty Period begins on the date of purchase by the original purchaser.

The customer may be required to provide reasonable proof of purchase, such as an order number, invoice, receipt, or other purchase documentation.

If the original purchase date cannot be reasonably established, Courtyardmart may use other available documentation to determine the applicable Warranty Period.

5. Installation Requirements

Courtyardmart fencing and gate products must be installed in accordance with applicable Courtyardmart installation instructions and applicable local requirements.

Proper installation is essential to the performance, safety, and longevity of a fence or gate system.

This Warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by improper installation, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to follow applicable installation instructions

  • Incorrect post spacing

  • Improper anchoring or structural support

  • Improper alignment

  • Improper gate installation or adjustment

  • Installation on unsuitable or unstable surfaces

  • Failure to account for applicable site conditions

  • Installation outside the product's intended application

  • Structural movement resulting from improper installation

Courtyardmart may request installation information, photographs, measurements, or other documentation when evaluating a warranty claim.

6. Maintenance Requirements

Courtyardmart products are designed to be low maintenance. Reasonable care and routine maintenance are nevertheless recommended to preserve appearance and performance.

Customers should follow the applicable product care and maintenance instructions.

Failure to perform reasonable maintenance may affect warranty coverage when the claimed condition is directly caused by inadequate maintenance.

7. What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage, deterioration, defects, or conditions resulting from circumstances outside the scope of the Warranty.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following are excluded:

7.1 Improper Installation

Damage or defects resulting from installation that does not comply with applicable Courtyardmart instructions or applicable requirements.

7.2 Misuse, Abuse, or Neglect

Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized use, or use outside the product's intended application.

7.3 Accidental or Impact Damage

Damage caused by accidents, collisions, impact, vandalism, animals, or other external forces.

7.4 Unauthorized Modification

Damage resulting from cutting, drilling, welding, altering, modifying, repainting, or otherwise changing the product in a manner that causes or contributes to the claimed defect.

7.5 Normal Wear and Tear

Ordinary wear, aging, surface changes, and other conditions that naturally occur through normal use and outdoor exposure.

7.6 Weather and Environmental Events

Damage caused by fire, flooding, earthquakes, hurricanes, severe storms, lightning, natural disasters, or other extraordinary events beyond Courtyardmart's reasonable control.

7.7 Ground Movement

Damage resulting from soil movement, settling, shifting, erosion, foundation movement, or other changes in the installation environment.

7.8 Improper Storage or Handling

Damage resulting from improper storage, handling, or exposure to unsuitable conditions before installation.

7.9 Improper Use

Damage resulting from using the product for a purpose or application for which it was not designed.

7.10 Third-Party Products

Products, components, or accessories not manufactured or supplied by Courtyardmart may be subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty rather than this Warranty.

7.11 Normal Weathering and Color Variation

Reasonable color variation, fading, weathering, aging, or changes in appearance consistent with normal outdoor exposure and applicable product specifications are not considered manufacturing defects unless expressly covered by the applicable product warranty.

7.12 Site Conditions

Conditions resulting from the installation environment, including drainage, soil conditions, landscaping changes, vegetation growth, irrigation, sprinkler exposure, standing water, or other site-specific conditions that cause or contribute to the claimed issue.

8. Coastal and High-Exposure Environments

Products installed in coastal, high-salt, high-humidity, industrial, or other particularly aggressive environments may experience accelerated environmental exposure.

Customers installing products in such environments should follow all applicable care and maintenance recommendations.

Additional environmental limitations may apply depending on the product and installation conditions.

9. Hardware and Accessories

Hardware and accessories may have warranty periods that differ from the primary fence or gate system.

Standard Hardware

Standard hardware and accessories are covered for:

1 Year

Premium Stainless Steel Hardware

Eligible premium stainless steel hardware is covered for:

2 Years for residential applications
1 Year for commercial applications

Hardware coverage applies only to qualifying defects in materials and workmanship.

Normal wear associated with moving parts, adjustment, use, environmental exposure, or lack of maintenance is not automatically considered a warranty defect.

10. Fence Post Lights

Eligible Courtyardmart fence post lights are covered for:

2 Years for residential applications
1 Year for commercial applications

The applicable warranty covers qualifying manufacturing and material defects.

Damage caused by improper electrical installation, incompatible electrical components, power surges, physical damage, water intrusion resulting from improper installation, unauthorized modification, or misuse is not covered.

11. Commercial Applications

Commercial products are subject to a 5-Year Limited Warranty for eligible fence and gate products.

Commercial applications include, but are not limited to:

  • Multifamily properties

  • Apartment communities

  • Commercial properties

  • Office buildings

  • Retail properties

  • Restaurants

  • Hotels and hospitality properties

  • Institutional properties

  • Property management projects

  • Contractor-managed commercial projects

Certain products or components may carry shorter warranty periods as specified in the applicable warranty table.

Commercial customers may contact Courtyardmart before purchase for project-specific warranty information.

12. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe a Courtyardmart product has a defect covered by this Warranty, contact Courtyardmart after discovering the issue.

We recommend submitting a warranty claim as soon as reasonably possible so that the issue can be reviewed efficiently.

Step 2 — Provide Purchase Information

Please provide, when available:

  • Order number

  • Purchase date

  • Purchaser name

  • Product name

  • Product quantity

  • Installation location

  • Description of the issue

Step 3 — Provide Photographs

Photographs help our team evaluate the claimed issue.

We may request:

  • Close-up photographs of the defect

  • Photographs of the affected product

  • Photographs of the complete product

  • Photographs of the installation

  • Photographs of posts and hardware

  • Photographs of the surrounding area

  • Installation photographs, if available

Step 4 — Warranty Review

Courtyardmart will review the information provided.

We may request additional information, photographs, measurements, installation details, maintenance information, or other documentation reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

In certain circumstances, Courtyardmart may request an inspection.

Step 5 — Warranty Determination

Courtyardmart will determine whether the claimed condition qualifies for coverage under the applicable Warranty.

Step 6 — Resolution

If Courtyardmart determines that a qualifying defect is covered, Courtyardmart will provide an applicable remedy in accordance with this Warranty and applicable law.

13. Information Required for a Warranty Claim

To help us process a claim efficiently, customers should provide:

  • Purchase date

  • Customer name

  • Product name

Product Information

  • Product type

  • Size and configuration

  • Quantity

  • Installation date, if available

Issue Information

  • Description of the issue

  • Date the issue was first noticed

  • Photographs of the affected area

  • Photographs of the complete installation

Installation Information

  • Installation method

  • Installer information, if available

  • Relevant installation documentation, if available

14. Warranty Remedies

If Courtyardmart determines that a qualifying defect is covered by this Limited Warranty, Courtyardmart may, at its option and subject to applicable law:

  • Repair the affected product;

  • Provide replacement parts or components;

  • Replace the affected product; or

  • Provide another appropriate remedy permitted under applicable law.

Replacement products or components may differ from the original product in color, finish, design, dimensions, or availability, provided that the replacement is of comparable function and quality where reasonably applicable.

If a product has been discontinued, Courtyardmart may provide a comparable replacement product or component.

Any replacement product or component provided under this Warranty will be covered only for the remainder of the original Warranty Period, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

15. Labor, Removal, and Reinstallation

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing or required by applicable law, this Limited Warranty covers eligible product defects and does not automatically cover:

  • Installation labor

  • Removal of defective products

  • Disposal costs

  • Reinstallation labor

  • Contractor fees

  • Site preparation

  • Landscaping restoration

  • Structural modifications

  • Equipment rental

  • Additional construction work

  • Other incidental installation-related costs

Customers should not remove or dispose of a potentially defective product before receiving instructions from Courtyardmart when an inspection or product evaluation may be required.

16. Freight and Transportation

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing or required by applicable law, this Warranty does not automatically cover freight, expedited shipping, transportation, removal, return shipping, or other logistics costs associated with a warranty claim.

Any shipping assistance provided by Courtyardmart will be determined based on the circumstances of the claim and applicable Warranty terms.

17. Warranty Transferability

This Warranty is provided to the original purchaser unless otherwise stated in writing by Courtyardmart.

This Warranty is not automatically transferable to a subsequent property owner.

Any transfer of Warranty coverage must be approved by Courtyardmart in writing and is subject to applicable law.

18. Products Purchased Through Authorized Sellers

Products purchased through an authorized Courtyardmart dealer or seller may be eligible for coverage under this Warranty, provided the product is genuine Courtyardmart merchandise and proof of purchase is available.

Products purchased through unauthorized sellers or unauthorized marketplaces may not be covered.

Customers who are uncertain whether a seller is authorized should contact Courtyardmart.

19. No Automatic Warranty Exclusion Based Solely on Independent Parts or Services

Warranty coverage will be evaluated based on the actual cause of the claimed defect and the applicable Warranty terms.

Courtyardmart will not deny otherwise valid warranty coverage solely because a customer used an independently supplied part or service unless applicable law permits such a limitation and the use of that part or service caused or contributed to the claimed defect.

20. Limitation of Warranty

This is a Limited Warranty.

This Warranty provides specific rights and remedies relating to eligible Courtyardmart products. It does not eliminate or restrict any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable federal or state law.

Because warranty rights can vary by state, customers may have additional rights and remedies under applicable law.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Courtyardmart's obligations under this Limited Warranty are limited to the remedies expressly provided in this Warranty.

Courtyardmart will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages to the extent such limitations are permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this Warranty is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

22. Product Changes and Discontinued Products

Courtyardmart continually improves its products and may change product designs, colors, finishes, dimensions, components, or specifications.

A replacement product or component provided under this Warranty may therefore differ from the original product in appearance or specifications while providing substantially comparable function.

23. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights

This Warranty is subject to applicable federal and state laws.

Nothing in this Warranty is intended to deprive consumers of rights or remedies provided by applicable law.

Certain states may provide additional consumer protections or may restrict certain warranty limitations or exclusions. Where applicable law provides rights or remedies that differ from this Warranty, the applicable law will control.

24. Entire Warranty

This Warranty contains the principal terms governing Courtyardmart's Limited Warranty for eligible products.

Product-specific warranty terms, written agreements, or other warranty documents provided with a particular product may supplement or modify these terms where expressly stated.

If any provision of this Warranty is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by applicable law.
